Hemlock & Forge is a housing & community development and consulting agency focused on accelerating supportive and affordable housing access, unbreaking our systems of care, and facilitating collaborative hope for and work towards housing justice in Pennsylvania and Delaware.

Accelerate the development of supportive and affordable housing in PA & DE.
Increase housing access for priority population – unhoused, domestic violence survivors, behavioral health.

Develop, deepen, and drive partnerships that create housing pipelines and share governance across philanthropy, government, service providers, neighborhoods, and community developers.

Implement regional ‘Housing Accelerator Funds’ that bring new, pooled impact capital.
Fundraise and braid public and philanthropy capital and service funding for sustainable housing.

Align behavioral health, homeless response, and housing systems of care to be community developers and provide intensive supportive services to Housing First quality standards.

OUR WHY
Our vision is for everyone in Pennsylvania and Delaware to wake up tomorrow in a warm, safe, and affordable place to call home, surrounded by a thriving and equitable neighborhood.
We dedicate ourselves to pushing, nudging, directing, and supporting an emerging partnership where funders, social service, and governments lead and are led by an engaged community of neighbors who will do what it takes to stably house every one.
GOALS
We invest in our vision through partnership consulting, community engagement, and investing in new supportive housing units. We aspire to achieve it by:
Inspire 300 new units of supportive or affordable housing by 2030.
Invest in properties within the communities we serve. We want to put our money where our values are.
Focus on our cornerstone communities. Southeast PA, Erie County, Allegheny County, and the state of Delaware.
